It’s a digital age. How better to present your business than on the internet? I’m not sure anyone even uses the yellow pages anymore – especially when the option is there to just make a quick stop at Google. The main reason for our new website is simply to communicate the facts such as our opening hours and telephone number. Several customers have told us that their searches on Google had shown up one of those dreadful directory companies that list as many businesses as they can and don’t care if the information is wrong as long as they keep getting the hits. With the yellow pages so out-of-date, how are we to let Wivenhoe know the facts?
Our telephone number is up there on the right, along with our email address, and slightly below that you can see our opening hours. There will be a slight change to it shortly as it’ll also show our opening days for the Christmas period, but it’ll revert to normal in the new year. You’ll also see a new option up in the menu that you can click on to find out about all the special Christmas things we’ll be doing. It’ll all be very…Christmassy.
On our new site we’ll be posting anything helpful or interesting about our business such as big events, any snazzy new product lines, the occasional recipe or even dishes in the café brought back by popular demand. Unfortunately, we don’t have the storage space or the hours in the day to turn this into an e-commerce website, so if you want to buy our stuff, then you’ll just have to come and visit – Wivenhoe’s a nice place, there’s plenty to do once you’ve been shopping!
We hope you find this site useful, informative and maybe even entertaining. It’s always worth checking back because we’re not above bribing our web visitors with vouchers you can print out and present to us for discounts or other offers. And yes, the next thing is a facebook page, so you can Like us to show everyone that you like us.
